In fact, three of our physicians have fellowship training in advanced joint replacement techniques such as complex surgery, partial joint replacement or revision joint replacement. All patients are seen by a joint replacement educator before surgery and receive consultation by both medical physicians and rehabilitation physicians in the hospital. Twice a day physical therapy and multi-modal pain control techniques also speed recovery. After surgery some patients wish to go to rehabilitation while others prefer home therapy. Our practice-affiliated physical therapy also allows patients and their therapist easy access to their physician during the recovery process.
